Eco certifications

Below you can find a description of different eco certifications that have been earned by the products we sell, and their meaning.

GRS (Global Recycling Standard)
An international, voluntary certification that promotes the use of recycled materials in products and ensures responsible handling throughout the supply chain. It sets requirements for traceability, environmental sustainability, ethical labor practices, and chemical management. Products must contain at least 50% recycled content to qualify, with compliance verified by third-party audits. GRS applies to a wide range of materials, including textiles and plastics, aiming to enhance transparency and foster sustainable production.

OCS (Organic Content Standard)
A global certification that verifies the presence and percentage of organic material in a product while tracking it through the supply chain. It applies to non-food products containing 5% to 100% organic materials, with certification focusing on verifying content rather than environmental or social compliance. OCS ensures transparency and traceability by requiring third-party verification at every stage of production. This certification helps brands and consumers confirm the organic integrity of products and supports a clear labeling system for organic material usage.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
The leading certification for organic textiles, ensuring sustainable production from raw materials to the finished product. It sets strict criteria for organic fiber content (at least 70%), environmental management, and responsible chemical use while prohibiting harmful substances. GOTS also enforces ethical labor practices aligned with International Labour Organization (ILO) standards. The certification covers the entire supply chain, from farming and spinning to dyeing and distribution, with third-party audits ensuring compliance. GOTS certification assures consumers of high-quality, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible textile products.

PETA-Approved Vegan
A global label that verifies that a product, including its ingredients and manufacturing process, is entirely free from animal-derived materials and has not been tested on animals. Managed by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), this certification ensures that brands adhere to ethical and cruelty-free standards. It applies to various industries, including fashion, beauty, and home goods, offering transparency and assurance for consumers seeking animal-friendly products. The label supports ethical consumerism and promotes a compassionate, vegan lifestyle.

OEKO-TEX
A globally recognized certification that ensures textiles are tested for harmful substances and are safe for human use. Covering raw materials, intermediate, and finished products, it applies strict limits on chemicals such as pesticides, heavy metals, and formaldehyde. The certification also considers regulated and non-regulated substances, ensuring compliance with international standards like REACH. OEKO-TEX® is applicable to all types of textiles and textile-related products, offering assurance of product safety and sustainability. It promotes transparency, supporting both consumer confidence and responsible production practices.

ECOCERT
Ecocert is a globally recognized, independent certification body that sets rigorous standards and conducts audits to verify the organic, natural, and sustainable credentials of a wide range of products, including food, cosmetics, textiles, home care, and fair trade goods. Their certification process involves thorough inspections, documentation reviews, and product testing to ensure compliance with their established standards covering ingredient sourcing, production methods, packaging, and social responsibility. Products that meet these criteria are granted the Ecocert certification and can display their logo, providing consumers with a trusted assurance of authenticity and a commitment to environmental protection and ethical practices, ultimately promoting a more sustainable and socially responsible marketplace.
